How Do You Say Hello?
Konnichiwa!
Hola! Bonjour!
To
celebrate the different cultures and languages at VPE, I would like to decorate
the bulletin board outside the ELL room with the different ways our families
say hello. If your family speaks another language
at home, please email Ms. Osborne and she will send home a paper doll for your
student to color and a speech bubble to complete. Thanks for your

Welcome Back!
I am so excited to welcome our
old and new ELL friends back for an exciting school year! I am looking forward
to getting to know our new students and catching up with old friends.

READ, READ, READ!!!
SUMMER READING PROGRAM
VPE's summer reading challenge began May 5! Students may log
into their Scholastic Summer Reading Program account and record their reading
minutes. Each student has received their login information and practiced
signing in during library class. To help VPE reach its goal of 1, 500,000
reading minutes this summer, the library will be open for checkout on Tuesdays
from 9 am to 11 am with the exception of the week of July 4.
Enjoy the summer and read, READ, READ!!!
